Aysén Glacier Trail, Laguna San Rafael NP, Chile February-March 2020

This was an arduous eight day hike into Laguna San Rafael National Park to visit the eastern edge of the Northern Patagonia Ice Field, the second largest temperate ice sheet in South America. In the effort of getting there, traversing magnificent beech forests and glacial valleys, we find remarkable scenery of mountain and ice, and a splendid isolation.

I'd like to thank the good people at Patagonia Adventure Expeditions, that made this possible.

The photography was done with a Canon EOS 5D mark II and 24-70mm f/2.8L lenses. No tripod, but it would have helped, greatly!
